The Daylesford to Hanging Rock (Kyneton) Rail Trail
The ongoing development of the Rail Trail, in conjunction with Hepburn Shire, is one of the biggest economic development drivers for the Macedon Ranges. Daylesford Macedon Tourism undertook a study on the economic benefits of the rail trail and determined it could bring in an additional 45,000 visitors per year.

The Macedon Ranges has three Botanical Gardens, each with distinct features and two of these are in West Ward. No other local government has as many and we can leverage these assets to attract more visitors to our towns.

As a champion of the Circular Economy – especially recycling and waste reduction in the Macedon Ranges, I am proud to say the Macedon Ranges has been a local government leader in this area especially in the 4 Bin System Initiative and Transfer Station Innovation.
